Sam is a native Mobilian, and he graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications in 2004. Shortly after graduating, he earned his real estate license and began his career with Roberts Brothers, Inc. In February 2013, he started his own company – Sam Winter and Company, Inc. Real Estate. It’s a highly professional real estate company serving sellers and buyers in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. 

Sam has been identified as a leader in both the civic arena and the real estate community. He earned the Council of Residential Specialist designation, which is an honor held by only 4% of residential REALTORS® nationwide. He has earned the Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) endorsement from the National Association of REALTORS®. The endorsement goes to REALTORS® who have demonstrated knowledge and competency in 10 core areas of real estate practice. 

He was elected President of the Mobile Area Association of Realtors in 2019. Sam was selected Realtor of the Year by his fellow Realtors in 2020.

With over 20 years of experience, Sam has closed over 850 transactions with a total sales volume of over $200 million. These achievements reflect his deep market knowledge, strong negotiating skills, and proven track record of success. Sam strives for excellence and enjoys the daily challenges of real estate. Sam has consistently ranked among the Top 1% of REALTORS® in the Mobile Bay area. He takes pride in exceeding client expectations and building long-lasting relationships based on trust, integrity, and exceptional service.

He is married to the former Hartley Griffith, and they have three children, Audrey, Sam, Jr. and Griffith. His family attends St. Mary’s Catholic Church. When Sam is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading, being in the outdoors, and spending time on his Stauter boat.
